This seemed vaguely familiar today. Didn't we just experience a day of snow blowing and shoveling? And huge piles of snow on bushes, trees and picnic tables? Well, it sure is beautiful and I love the excuse to stay in the house all day, keeping the home fires burning! While Andy worked at clearing the driveway, I did housewifely things: laundry, vacuuming, baking and cooking.Andy went outside as soon as he got up this morning and didn't come back inside until 10:30. By that time he was pretty hungry and asked for a 3 egg omelet. He also helped himself to several pieces of chocolate chip pumpkin bread - still warm.

I think we got about 21 inches of snow. It's been a stormy, snowy winter so far. And there's another storm coming in a couple of days.

NICE!! I think they were saying the winter of '96 is the only one on record that beats this winters snowfall accumulations. But there is still more winter to go so maybe it will beat it yet! I still remember vividly shoveling the driveway with Dad like it was yesterday. spent the day in the house cleaning and Tom was out shoveling. He even participated in a snowball fight with a bunch of the guys!! HAHA! Then we had creamy wild rice soup for dinner from the two sisters...yum!
Talk about an "old fashioned" winter- the only thing it doesn't seem to last as long as it did when I was a child. In a few days it seems to melt, but that's OK. We had snow, too, but I didn't go out and take pictures. I did put boots on and waded out on my deck to get the finch feeder, bring it in and fill it for them. You have great pics as usual. A couple more months and then mow lawn again!
oh my, am I sure I want to go home to Balt? Perhaps I should just stay in Texas til it's all over!
We had about as much as you. We worked at it both Sat & Sun. Didn't get the driveway completely open till Sun afternoon. What a mess. Getting ready for round two today. LEt's hope it's not another large amount.
It seems strange that you guys keep getting more snow than us. It's staring again though and we just might catch up to you this time!
